In this paper, we analyzed the cutting force of orthogonal turnmilling in machining microminiature parts. Basing on a trochoidal tooth trace we used the cutting force model of helical edge in the analysis. From the geometry of turnmilling we obtained the analytical expressions of cutting thickness, cutting width and other parameters.

Based on the results from FEM analysis, the cutting force coefficients are identified and represented by a nonlinear equation of the uncut chip thickness, cutting edge radius and cutting velocity.
